It must have been because I watched the game. I can say without qualification, we had no business being in the big dance. Good job selection committee. Here’s to next year.

This about sums it up. Old dominion, you have been warned . . .

With this shot in double OT Michigan advances to the quarter finals. Next up #1 seed Michigan vs #3 seed Miami (FL).

2/16 in the second round. The only teams I have remaining are LSU and Nova, except I have Nova losing. I need LSU to make it all the way to the championship round to maximize my “winnings.”

So I thought it would be “interesting” to see what my bracket would look like if I just used a quarter to pick who would win. Except for having all the #1 seeds advance to the second round I just flipped a coin. Heads went to the team on top (not necessarily the higher ranked team, just literally the one on top if you printed it out). I went 19/32 in the opening round.
It will pretty much be all down hill from here though. My Oakland bracket is wiped out completely and I can only win 7/16 tomorrow. Here are the final four. Don’t laugh too hard. LSU, seems somewhere in the realm of far chance, Kent State (yea they lost already), Air Force (same here), and Nevada (12-5 upset per usual). To top it off I have Nevada winning it all.
I will come back with an update Sunday night. At least MSU lost and I give all the credit to the quarter because that was one of the ones I did get right. On a side geeky note, if I counted right, there were 30 tails out of 57 flips. I blame the horse on the Delaware quarter.

Screw the NCAA, the NIT is where it’s at. 82-67, up next Notre Dame. We did it in 2004, so why not this year?

So there is a fun toy over at www.myheritage.com where you can upload a picture of yourself and it will show what celebrity you most resemble. So without further ado I give you my look-a-likes.

That would be Hugh Jackman (63%) , Justin Timberlake (shudder, 62%), and Benjamin McKenzie(62%). The funny thing is that it also matches females as well and apparently I have more female look-a-likes than males, hmm. But at least one of the matches was Jada Pinkett Smith so at least I am hot as a girl, or something…

In case you haven’t heard about it yet, the latest game from the creator of Sim City is Spores. I am not sure when it is coming out because I have been hearing about it for years, but it is going to be a revolution just like Sim City and Sims, and potentially more addicting. You get to create a universe from the cell level up. It easier just to see to understand. Below is a video of a demo if it by the creator. It is a bit long (35 minutes), but definitely worth it. Below it is a better Midwest response to Lazy Sunday.

I’ve uploaded some of the pictures from my Chicago trip. You can click on these to see larger versions, or go to the main pictures page and see the rest. I have not gotten around to uploading the pictures from my first day there, but they will go up later. Most of these are either from Millennium park or the downtown Marshall Fields. The night skyline shots are from my Dad’s condo.
