I am working out a few kinks here and there with my photos, but you can have a look at them on zooomr (in totally random order because I was not aware you could not switch the order once uploaded). I also have lots of holiday photos which will be up in the next few days. Note about zooomr, if you hover over an image for a second and click on the icon that looks like a picture it will zoom into the photo without opening up a new page.
In case you haven’t seen the coverage, this is the live feed as it happened which is always more interesting than the commentators afterwards. Also, that Nintendo Wii? Hard to get. I have two friends that wanted one so I went out this morning with them to have a looksie. BestBuy guaranteed at least 15 a store. My one friend got up super early and was at a Circuit City but couldn’t get one. The BB we went to had 18, but the last guy to get a ticket got there at 4AM. Pretty crazy, and I’m glad I don’t have any interest in one right now.
Most people that take photos are completely content with iPhoto/Picasa or, gag, whatever came with their cameras. However, if you really like to work with photos, there has never been anywhere to go but Adobe Photoshop. To be honest, there really has not been that many major changes since version 7 that would warrant the steep price. However, CS3 changes all of that. There is now a public beta out, but public only means you have a valid CS2 license. Otherwise, it is limited to a two day trial run. It is quite the piece of work, and is a major release. The best part is that it will run on the new Intel macs; which is one reason a lot of professionals have not upgraded.
I have been meaning to do this for a while, but Zooomr is a competitor to Flickr and is offereing a year free for its pro service, which includes up to 4gbs free of upload each month if I am reading it correctly. Anyway, Thomas Hawk usese them so its good enough for me. One of the catches is you have to make a post with a photo hosted on there. As I am in class, I do not have my latest photos handy so you get another Thanksgiving one. Later.
