I watched last night against my better judgment. I’m not really going to comment too much, but I have mixed feelings about his health care plan. It will certainly help people like me that pay for health care out of pocket, but I’m not sure it is going to drive down prices. Anyway, the New York Times has a fun page that shows you the frequency of words in Bush’s SOTU addresses over the past seven years. It’s quite cool.
Bill repeatedly the false fact that The Daily Show’s viewers were slackers. This is despite the fact that The Daily Show viewers are the smartest viewers of any cable show. But all in all, Bill didn’t get too bad.
Check this out if you haven’t already. There is going to be a new arms race to control space. Woo hoo. Good thing we are already building lasers that can shoot down missiles.
Well, I think that settled that. I thought we were better than that, but apparently all it takes to beat Michigan is to never run. I have to say I’m glad I didn’t go out to see that wreck. I’d join the chorus for Carr’s head, but Martin will never listen, plus, I think he deserves one more shot. If after next year he manages to lose the last two games . . . something needs to change.
Anyway, on to better things. Here is the link to my pictures from New Years. They might look dark on PC’s, so boost your brightness if they look off. I think now that I have a good mac again (oh yea forgot to mention that, I’ll save that for another post) and have my monitor calibrated, the pictures are only going to look good on my screen. If you haven’t used zooomr before you can hover over an image and click the picture icon to get a bigger version without having to go to a new page. Quite nifty, enjoy.
