You would think the RIAA would have been content suing grandparents who can’t fight back, but nope they thought “lets go after students”. Hmm, students, I think that implies they are at a University. Hmm, professors who might also be lawyers. Hmm, who are smarter than the RIAA. Big mistake. If the RIAA is not careful not only are they going to lose their fight against the University students they are, by proxy, going to lose every case in the future.
Guess who is testifying for the Boston University students as an expert witness to point out how truly pathetic the assertion that an IP address can be linked to an actual person? Oh that’s right, the chairman of the computer science department at Boston University.
